$60 million OZ Lotto jackpot tonight!
Lotto fever is surrounding Western Australia today as local players count down the hours until the largest Lotto offer for the year goes up for grabs across Australia - the $60 million OZ Lotto jackpot.
Retailers are already reporting a busy morning and are encouraging players to get their tickets early to avoid the queues that are expected to build later today.
Lotterywest spokesperson Pina Compagnone said almost 500,000 tickets in WA were expected to be sold in tonight's jackpot.
"Jackpot day is the busiest and during peak periods today, almost 700 tickets will be churning out of Lotterywest terminals every minute," Ms Compagnone said.
Tonight's multi-million dollar offer is the result of no one across the nation being able to match OZ Lotto's seven winning numbers for the last seven weeks.
WA players have until 6pm tonight to purchase their tickets from Lotterywest retailers, Play Online or the Lotterywest App.
Players are encouraged to spend what they can afford, with tickets in tonight's jackpot starting at $1.20.
It's not just thousands of winners that have picked up an OZ Lotto prize over the last seven weeks, the jackpot roll has already raised close to $8 million for the WA community. Tonight's jackpot is set to raise a further $3.5 million.
