Ningaloo Whaleshark Festival

The Ningaloo Whaleshark Festival highlights the community’s relationship with the yearly visitation of the whale shark.

The festival’s three days of activities begin on Friday night with the official Gala Festival Opening at the Mantarays Ningaloo Beach Resort. Dress up in your finest outfits and enjoy exquisite food and drinks as well as live entertainment. Tickets will be available soon from the evet website.

Saturday is Festival Day at Talanjee Oval. The day kicks off with a morning fun run and Aussie breakfast before festival activities begin. Live entertainment will be on the main stage throughout the day, as well as kids’ activities including kite creature flying and workshops, plus market and food stalls until 5pm. This is a FREE event.

The Saturday entertainment continues once the sun goes down with live music at Cadillacs Bar & Grill where the festival’s headline musical act, Southern River Band will be lighting up the stage with their unique style of garage rock. Datura Four will also be bringing the noise with their psychedelic blues. Tickets will be available soon from the evet website.

The festival continues on Sunday with a Big Day Out on Ningaloo Reef to meet the stars of the show, Ningaloo whale sharks, before winding up with a fun filled family afternoon of activities and live entertainment at the Exmouth Yacht Club on Town Beach. Tickets will be available to purchase at the gate
