The Denmark Festival of Voice is a celebration of the power and beauty of the human voice, showcasing local, regional, national and international artists in the beautiful Western Australian town of Denmark.
Music is only one part of the program alongside storytelling, spoken word, poetry and experimental performance. Local residents of Denmark and the Great Southern are the heart and soul of this festival which plays host to an eclectic melange of visiting performers. This carefully and lovingly curated festival seeks more than just high quality acts and beautiful singers.
From the ancient and the enduring, to the Avant guard and the ‘as yet unknown’, the Denmark Festival of Voice presents a quest for meaning, both universal and personal. The Festival encourages all to explore their own voice as well as listening to others. This annual event is held on the WA Day long weekend (2-5th June 2017).
