City of Perth Symphony in the City

Symphony in the City has become a highlight of the summer calendar for thousands of people in Perth. This spectacular event will feature classical and movie favourites performed by the Orchestra and the WASO Chorus under the direction of Guy Noble. As always, the concert will conclude with the 1812 Overture accompanied by a pyrotechnics display.

Get there early as face painters and balloon artists will provide children's entertainment at the rear of the venue from 5pm - 7pm.

The event will also be broadcast live across regional Western Australia to a number of large community events and smaller gatherings. Residents in Albany, Kalgoorlie and Margaret River can enjoy the concert live, screened at special venues in each town.

Additionally, regional audiences can experience the event at Community Resource Centres across WA, all via the Westlink VAST Channel 602. Houses with a satellite dish and decoder that pick up the Westlink channel will also have access the broadcast. For anybody else, the concert will also be webcast via Livestream.com and screened live at the Northbridge Piazza.
