Premier presents $900k grant to City of Rockingham

Baldivis is booming!

With its endless recreational opportunities, beautiful bushland and countryside, great beaches and the vibrant suburb of Rockingham just minutes away, it’s no wonder why.

To support this burgeoning ‘burb, Premier Mark McGowan recently presented a Lotterywest grant of $900,000 to the City of Rockingham towards the construction of the new Baldivis South Community Centre.

“Over the past decade, the City of Rockingham has been the fastest growing municipality in Perth and is now home to more than 130,000 residents,” the Premier said.

“The Baldivis South Community Centre will provide a whole range of facilities, creating more opportunities for local residents, people from surrounding areas and community groups to interact.” he added.

The new facility will be used by a range of local sporting clubs and community groups and will feature a multi-purpose hall, activity room, kitchen and indoor and outdoor children’s activity space.

What a fantastic addition to the City of Rockingham and local community – and it’s all thanks to our Lotterywest retailers and players.
