On top of the world

While most Aussies are ready for Spring (and then blissful beach time in Summer) to come, one man is planning an extended winter full of days carving it up on some of the best slopes around the world.

And it's all happening because the 30-something year old has won 1st Prize in Set for Life. $20,000 a month for 20 years... now that will definitely make a lot of his skiing dreams come true!

Imagine just going about your day, only to receive a phone call telling you that you were Set for Life. He said he was shivering as a result (and not from the cold) - and we think we would be too. Just thinking about it gives us goosebumps!

And while we're not going with him (if only!), we've picked our favourite skiing sites that are providing a bit of inspiration while we wait for the results of the next Set for Life draws. Forget about Whistler (though it's still on the bucket list), we're eying places like Zermatt in Switzerland with it's glacier-clad peaks, luxury hotels and electric cars, Chamonix in France for their adrenaline rush inducing giant mountains, and of course Aspen so we could sneak in some celebrity spotting.

A winter wonderland suddenly sounds better than ever...
