From theatre to home

In November last year, a recent $181,486 Lotterywest grant supported Black Swan State Theatre Company with a live broadcast of a major theatre production, Tartuffe.

It’s an amazing theatrical comedy – one of Moliere’s most famous – which was first performed in 1664. And thanks to the grant provided, the broadcast was received at 12 regional performing art centres, over 100 community resource centres and via the State’s Westlink TV channel for viewing at home!

This great initiative means people in regional and remote communities that may be disadvantaged or have limited access have been able to enjoy a live production – and share an incredible experience with people in Perth.
