You little beauty: Myaree man takes out $1.3 million Lotto win

A salesman from Myaree has been revealed as Western Australia’s latest Lotto millionaire after coming forward to claim more than $1.3 million in prize money.

The man said it took him about ten seconds to realise he had the six winning numbers required to take out Saturday Lotto’s Division 1 prize pool.

“I’ve been playing the same numbers for years so I recognised them straight away,” the man said.

“Before I knew it I was on my feet yelling ‘you little beauty’ at the top of my lungs,” he added.

The man said he then rang his daughter for advice on what to do next.

“Like any Gen-Y would she told me to Google it,” the man laughed.

“So I typed in ‘I’ve won the Lotto – now what?’ and spent the night glued to my computer screen,” he added.

The $1.3 million Myaree windfall comes as OZ Lotto jackpotted to a massive $40 million overnight.

Lotterywest spokesperson Chloe Lawler said the massive prize pool is a result of no one across the nation being able to match the seven winning numbers needed to take out OZ Lotto for five weeks.

“Next Tuesday will see the equal highest jackpot for OZ Lotto this year,” Ms Lawler said.

“The jackpot roll will also generate a massive $5 million for the WA community,” she added.

Tickets for the $40 million OZ Lotto jackpot are available until 6pm on draw day in-store, through Play Online or by downloading the Lotterywest app.
