WA’s winning whirlwind: Four Lotto winners in four days!

Western Australia is on an incredible winning streak after delivering its fourth Division 1
Lotto winner in the last four days!

The most recent winner was produced last night in the South West thanks to a ticket
worth $1 million that was purchased from Nextra Bunbury.

The winner joins three Division 1 winners from the weekend – all sharing in almost $2.5
million in combined prize money.

Lotterywest spokeswoman Pina Compagnone said it was clear that Lady Luck has
landed in WA – with almost $100 million in Lotto prizes up for grabs over the next week.

“It all starts tonight with a $25 million Powerball jackpot,” she said.

“Then the annual draw everyone has been waiting for – the $30 million Saturday Lotto
Megadraw,” Ms Compagnone added.

Lotto fever shows no sign of cooling down in the New Year, when a $40 million OZ Lotto
jackpot is on offer.

While the identity of WA’s newest millionaire remains a mystery, the Lotterywest Winners
Room saw plenty of happy faces yesterday – with two of the weekend Division 1 winners
coming forward to collect $420,000 each.

“There wasn’t a dull moment at Lotterywest HQ yesterday,” Ms Compagone said.

“We welcomed a syndicate of four Perth workmates, who shared in one of the $420,000
prizes,” she said.

“While a retired Joondanna couple in their 70s – who just celebrated their 50th wedding
anniversary – also took home one of the top prizes.”

The couple said they had no plans to spend big, and would try to keep the celebrations
modest.

“I’d like to get my hair done and do a big grocery shop,” said the wife.

Players have until 6pm draw day to purchase tickets in this week’s draws from
Lotterywest in-store, via Lotterywest membership online or by downloading the app.
