WA’s run of Lotto wins continues with $10 million OZ Lotto prize

Western Australia’s unprecedented run of Lotto winners has continued – the latest produced overnight after one local ticket took home the entire $10 million OZ Lotto jackpot.

The winning ticket was the only Division 1 winner from across the nation and was sold at newsXpress Centrepoint Midland.

The State has been on an incredible run of luck over the past six days, delivering four Division 1 wins worth a combined $32 million worth of prize money.

Tickets purchased from Lotterywest in these draws have also helped to raise over $10 million to support the WA community.

The lucky winning streak started last Thursday when WA produced a $20 million winner on Powerball. This was followed by a $1.3 million Lotto win on Saturday and a $1 million winner on Monday.

Owner of the Midland store, Paul Kirwan, who delivered the State’s latest win said the feeling he had turned one of his customers into a multimillionaire was both exciting and rewarding.

“We’re extremely pleased and we hope that this prize will go to someone deserving – it’s certainly going to make a huge impact on their life,” Mr Kirwan said.

“I’ve had this store almost ten years and this is the fourth Division 1 win we’ve sold and it’s definitely the largest,” he added.

While a struggling single mother of two has come forward to claim the $20 million win, WA’s three other recent Division 1 Lotto wins remained unclaimed.

The $1.3 million Saturday Lotto winning ticket was sold from Kingsway City Lottery Centre in Madeley, while Monday night’s million dollar win was purchased from Gateways News and Lottery Centre in Success.

WA’s tally of Division 1 Lotto winners just three months into this year has now reached 16.
