WA Lotto prizes claimed but wait for $10 million OZ Lotto winner continues

Although the wait for last night’s $10 million OZ Lotto winner from WA continues, it’s been a busy week with some of the State’s other outstanding Division 1 winning Lotto tickets being claimed.

A single mum from Mandurah will be SET FOR LIFE after claiming her 1st Prize of $20,000 each month for the next 20 years – her winning ticket was purchased through Lotterywest Play Online.

“We’ve been struggling financially, living paycheck to paycheck. We were close to getting our water cut off,” she said.

“I was holding a cup of coffee when I saw I’d won and I started shaking so much my daughter needed to take my mug from me.”

“It was only last week my dad dreamt something amazing was going to happen to me and he was absolutely right!”

WA’s newest Set for Life winner said she was looking forward to reducing her work hours so she could spend more time with her children.

Claiming their $785,465 Division 1 prize from the weekend’s Saturday Lotto draw was a young couple from the northern suburbs.

The couple originally thought their winning ticket, purchased from Dog Swamp Newsagency in Yokine, was a ‘dud’ until they realised it held all six winning numbers.

“We calculated our debt and realised that we’ll be completely debt free now,” they said.

“We have flexibility in life and will have the ability to spend more time with our children which is incredible. We can even fulfil our dream of travelling to New York.”

WA’s other Division 1 winning ticket from the same Saturday Lotto draw, purchased from Margaret River Newsagency, is yet to be claimed.

Also claiming a prize this week was a Woodvale couple who collected their $104,763 Division 1 Super66 prize, also from the weekend. The ticket was bought from Woodvale Boulevard Newsagency.

“We can’t believe how much we’ve won! This will mean we can travel, help our family and get our friends some great Christmas presents,” they said.

Powerball jackpot powers to $15 million AND countdown to $31 million Megadraw is on!

Lotterywest is hoping Lotto luck will continue surrounding WA with the countdown to two big draws before the year ends.

The first chance is in tomorrow night’s $15 million Powerball jackpot followed by the biggest Saturday Lotto event of the year – the $31 million Megadraw on New Year’s Eve.

Tickets can be purchased until 6pm on the day of the draw in-store, through Lotterywest Play Online or by downloading the Lotterywest App.

When you play with Lotterywest, all of WA wins. Last financial year $601 million was returned to WA winners in prizes, while $281 million was raised for the WA community.
