WA secures a $15 million share in OZ Lotto jackpot

Western Australia has welcomed another Division 1 Lotto winner after tonight’s $30 million OZ Lotto jackpot.

Two national Division 1 winning tickets, each worth $15 million, were produced - one from WA and the other from Queensland.

WA's winning ticket was purchased from Archer Street Newsagency in Carlisle.

Tonight’s win contributes to the State’s fast growing tally of Division 1 Lotto winners which has already reached nine just over five weeks into 2017. These winners have shared in $25 million worth of prizes.

“It’s looking like another lucky Lotto year here in the West and we’re absolutely thrilled to have made someone else out there a multi-millionaire!” Lotterywest spokesperson Pina Compagnone said.

Almost 82,000 other lucky locals picked up a prize in tonight’s OZ Lotto jackpot, including 3 Division 2 winning tickets each worth just over $38,000.

Tonight’s winning OZ Lotto numbers were 20, 32, 4, 8, 29, 37 and 40.

Lotterywest retailers around the State were flat out selling thousands of tickets for tonight’s popular jackpot. During the busiest hour of sales, Lotterywest estimated almost 300 tickets sold each minute.

The Western Australian community is also a winner tonight with local support from players purchasing tickets in the draw helping Lotterywest to raise more than $7 million for the community over the five week jackpot roll.

Local players will have another chance to win big this week when a $15 million Powerball jackpot goes on offer Thursday night.

Tickets are available until 6pm draw day from Lotterywest in-store, through Play Online or by downloading the app.
