WA produces four Division 1 wins in four days

Lotterywest is set to make another lucky local an instant millionaire after it was revealed that the State produced the only Division 1 winning ticket across the nation in last night’s Wednesday Lotto draw.

The ticket is worth $1 million and was sold at Swan Lotto Kiosk in Bassendean.

Lotterywest spokeswoman Chloe Lawler said the win marked the fourth Division 1 winning ticket produced in as many days, with Western Australia experiencing unprecedented Lotto luck.

“Four Division 1 wins in four days is almost unheard of,” Ms Lawler said.

“The State is experiencing extraordinary Lotto luck and with the $20 million Saturday Lotto Superdraw only days away I’d encourage everyone to take full advantage and purchase a ticket,” she added.

The windfall comes as a tradie from Bayswater has come forward to claim his share in last week’s Saturday Lotto prize money.

The man, aged in his 60s, said his $12.75 investment had bagged him a pretty good return.

“I’m going to pocket almost $330,000 in prize money after only coughing up $12,” the man said.

“That’s a pretty stellar deal if you ask me,” he added.

Ms Lawler said Lotterywest is still waiting for two additional Division 1 winners to come forward with winning tickets produced in Thornlie and Mundijong.

“In the last 10 days alone we’ve given away almost $20 million in prize money,” she said.

“When it rains it pours and the West is certainly reaping the benefits of millions of dollars in prize money,” she added.

Tickets for the $20 million Saturday Superdraw are available until 6pm on draw day in-store, through Play Online or by downloading the Lotterywest app.
