WA produces Australia’s only Monday Lotto millionaire

A run of Lotto luck has struck the State after another Division 1 Lotto winner was produced in Western Australia overnight, making it four winners in five nights!

Last night’s winning ticket, worth $1 million, was sold at Riverton Forum Lottery Kiosk and was the nation’s only Division 1 winner.

The million dollar win follows an incredible run of Lotto luck in WA which all started last Thursday when one local player took home a $2 million Powerball prize. Then two WA players each picked up a $200,483 Division 1 prize in the weekend’s Saturday Lotto draw.

The winning Monday Lotto ticket is also the first Division 1 winner to be sold at Riverton Forum Lottery Kiosk since sisters, Nguyet (Yamy) Thu Thi Vo and Nga Tuyet Thi Vo, took over the store less than one year ago.

“We couldn’t be more excited for the winner. This could be a new life for someone!” said the owners.

“We think it might be all our lucky charms that have brought luck to the kiosk. We have a set of lucky cats, a statue called ‘Money God’ and a happy, lucky Buddha we’ve had for over ten years that could have helped turn someone into a millionaire.”

Lotterywest is waiting to hear from all four recent Division 1 winners. Thursday night’s $2 million winning Powerball ticket was purchased from Here’s Luck Lottery Centre in Cloverdale, while the two winning Saturday Lotto tickets were sold at Belmont News and Rigters Supa IGA in Geraldton.

When you play Lotterywest Games, everyone in WA wins with about a third of the money spent on tickets directed to support the WA community.

Local groups to receive this support include the Workshop Camera Club in Riverton which received a $10,000 Lotterywest Grant in August. These funds were used towards equipment to support the Club’s educational activities.
