WA produces 50th Division 1 winner

Just days out from Thursday’s $50 million Powerball jackpot, Western Australia is celebrating its 50th Division 1 win with a lucky Midland local picking up a million dollar prize in the weekend’s Saturday Lotto draw.

The unclaimed ticket was sold at Midland Gate Lottery Kiosk and is one of four Division 1 tickets sold across the country.

Midland Gate Lottery Kiosk owner Lance McCrae said his shop was abuzz with hopeful locals coming in to check and recheck their tickets.

“We are absolutely over the moon – what a brilliant way to start the week,” Mr McCrae said.

“We’re encouraging all of our customers to come in and check their tickets – you could be Midland’s newest millionaire and not even realise it,” he added.

Mr McCrae said players who missed out on a weekend win would have a second chance at the Lotto dream ahead of Thursday’s $50 million Powerball jackpot.

“Just imagine the adventures you could have with $50 million in your back pocket,” Mr McCrae said.

“It’s expected the Powerball jackpot will also generate a massive $3 million for the WA community,” he added.

When you play Lotterywest games, the money stays in WA with about one third of every dollar you spend returned to benefit the community

Tickets for the $50 million Powerball jackpot are available until 6pm on draw day in-store, through Play Online or by downloading the Lotterywest app.
