West Australians have been struck with an extra special Christmas following a run of Division 1 Lotto wins over the holiday break.
Luck started on Christmas Eve when one local took home a $757,320 Saturday Lotto prize purchased from Nextra Express Ellenbrook. On the same night a Lotterywest Play Online player collected $143,914 in Soccer Pools.
This week’s Monday Lotto draw then produced a millionaire. The $1 million winning ticket was purchased from Katanning Lottery Centre. It was only three weeks ago that the Katanning store sold a Saturday Lotto winning ticket worth $822,853.
Owner of Katanning Lottery Centre Jill Kowald said it was incredible to have had two Division 1 Lotto winners so close to each other.
“Everyone around town is still buzzing from the last big win. I can’t believe we’ve done it again, it’s amazing,” she said.
“They say things come threes so let’s hope we can squeeze one more in before the year ends – what a way to start the New Year!”
WA’s Division 1 and 1st Prize Lotto winners tally for the year has now reached 86. These winners have shared in almost $139 million worth of prize money.
