WA community the big winner in tonight’s $55 million Powerball jackpot

A lucky ticket purchased in Queensland has won tonight’s entire $55 million Division 1 Powerball prize pool - the third largest prize won in Australian Lotto history.

While no West Australians were able to match all the winning numbers in tonight’s $55 million Powerball jackpot, 174,248 WA players picked up a prize in the game’s other Divisions.

This included three Division 2 winners each set to collect $121,040. These tickets were purchased from:
•    Spencer Village News and Lotteries in Thornlie
•    Karratha Lottery Centre and Newsagency
•    Forrest Chase International News

“We’re absolutely delighted with WA’s response to tonight’s Powerball draw. While we would have loved for a West Aussie to win Division 1, the big winner tonight is the local community,” said Lotterywest spokesperson Pina Compagnone.

“Over the six week jackpot roll, players who purchased tickets from Lotterywest helped us to raise an estimated $10 million to support the WA community.”

The winning numbers from tonight’s jackpot draw were 36, 8, 23, 39, 31, 6 and the Powerball number 15.
