WA community the big winner in Powerball jackpot

A lucky ticket purchased in New South Wales has won tonight’s entire $50 million Division 1 Powerball prize pool - the fifth largest prize won in Australian Lotto history.

While no West Australians were able to match all the winning numbers in tonight’s $50 million Powerball jackpot almost 118,000 WA players picked up a prize in the game’s other Divisions.

This included three Division 2 winners each set to collect almost $65,000. These tickets were purchased from:

•    Miami Newsagency
•    Wanneroo Winners Lotto Kiosk

“We’re absolutely delighted with WA’s response to tonight’s Powerball draw. While we would have loved for a West Aussie to win Division 1, the big winner tonight is the local community,” said Lotterywest spokesperson Pina Compagnone.

“Over the five week jackpot roll, players who purchased tickets from Lotterywest helped us to raise an estimated $10 million to support the great causes across the State.”

The winning numbers from tonight’s jackpot draw were 26, 36, 10, 23, 19 and 21 and the Powerball number 10.

WA players have two more chances to win big over the next five days with this weekend’s $21 million Saturday Lotto Superdraw. Then on Tuesday, a $15 million OZ Lotto jackpot goes up for grabs.

Tickets are available until draw day from Lotterywest in-store, online or by downloading the app.
