Superdraw Galore! Where are WA’s past Saturday Lotto winners now?

In the lead up to the $21 million Saturday Lotto Superdraw next weekend we checked in with some of our past Division 1 winners to see what they’ve been able to do with their good fortune.

A woman from north of the river who won $1 million in the Saturday Lotto Superdraw on 20 June 2015 said she still feels in awe at winning Lotto.

“I still can’t believe it even now, I’ve been able to have a Bali holiday with my grandchildren, bought a nice little house for myself and helped my children financially,” she said.

“I went into a display home and loved the furniture, so I bought it all! Now my kids and I have brand new furniture in our homes. I couldn’t be happier.”

“I can’t thank the retailers at Mullaloo News and Lotteries enough for giving me my Lotto dream.”

A family from Australind said they’ve just managed to come back down to Earth since winning $1,235,294 in the Saturday Lotto Superdraw on 9 May 2015.

“We’ve been able to pay for a lot of things and it’s made such a difference in our lives,” said the winner.

“We’re still planning on heading to Paris so I can get a beautiful European handbag!” laughed the woman.

A Gosnells man who won $473,896 from a Saturday Lotto ticket purchased at Good Fortune Lottery Centre in Maddington on 21 March 2015 has managed to have his second ever overseas holiday.

“I had an absolute ball in Hong Kong and I’ve also been able to pay for my brother to explore Europe on a seven week trip,” said the man.

“Winning Lotto really did change our lives, we were struggling financially and I didn’t know how we were going to get through it until my numbers came up!”

“My mum and dad benefitted too, I’ve had their old house renovated and they love it.”

It’s not only WA’s Lotto winners and their families that get to celebrate with $283 million given back to the WA community through Lotterywest Grants last financial year.

The Riverlinks Child Care and Community Centre located in Australind received some of the benefits from those who play Lotterywest Games with a $100,756 Lotterywest Grant last year. These funds were used towards an upgrade to enhance care, early learning and child development.
