Set for life winners will celebrate with a pie and stubby

A middle aged couple from Midland have finally come forward to collect their 1st Prize in Set for Life – they’ll receive $20,000 a month for the next 20 years!

The couple’s winning ticket from Sunday night’s draw was purchased from The Lucky Charm Midland.

The couple said their winning ticket had been sitting on the dashboard of their Ute for the past week and were completely unaware of their big win.

“Thank goodness it didn’t’ fly away! I’m rather pleased with the news that I think we’ll celebrate with a pie and stubby tonight,” the man said.

The couple said the 1st Prize would open the door for lots of exciting opportunities including more travel, more golf and some home renovations.

“We can just get in the car and follow our beds. Travel to wherever we want to go. It makes life so much easier and we don’t need to worry about how we’ll pay our next lot of bills,” they said.

WA’s newest Set for Life 1st Prize winners said they’ve been playing the game ever since it launched in August.

“We’ve been winning prizes quite regularly but this latest one is the icing on the cake,” they said.

WA has delivered two Set for Life 1st Prize winners in just three nights. Lotterywest is still waiting to hear from last night’s winner who purchased their ticket from The Lucky Charm Newsagency Baldivis.

Since Set for Life was launched across Australia in August last year, there has been 11 1st Prize winners – three of these from WA.

Set for Life draws take place every night of the week. Players can start their 7 day Set for Life entry on any day and tickets start from $8.40.

Support from WA players in Set for Life has also helped Lotterywest to raise $16 million for the WA community.

Countdown to $40 million jackpot

WA players will have another chance to win big when $40 million goes on offer in next Tuesday’s OZ Lotto draw. The jackpot offer is the game’s equal largest for the year.

Tickets for the $40 million OZ Lotto jackpot are available until 6pm next Tuesday in-store from Lotterywest retailers, through Play Online, or by downloading the Lotterywest App.
