Rockingham’s missing millionaire

As we count down to tomorrow night’s $21 million Saturday Lotto Superdraw, Lotterywest is still on the hunt for a missing $1.3 million Division 1 Lotto winner – more than a month after the draw!

The winning ticket was purchased from Rockingham Central Lottery Centre ahead oflast month’s Saturday Lotto Superdraw on 18 February.

Store owner Marie Alexander said the mystery millionaire was the talk of the town.

“Everyone’s been talking about it; almost every customer that walks in,” Ms Alexander said.

“We’ve been encouraging everyone to double check every nook and cranny to make sure they don’t have a ticket hiding anywhere.”

Ms Alexander said over the 11 years she had owned the Rockingham store she had sold seven Division 1 Lotto tickets.

“We even had two in 15 days, so we certainly bring the luck!” she said.

So far this year, WA has welcomed 17 Division 1 Lotto winners sharing in almost $35 million worth of prizes.

Lotterywest spokesperson Pina Compagnone said she was hoping the State’s tally was set to rise following tomorrow night’s big draw.

“Superdraws always create excitement and anticipation among our players and in WA we expect to sell close to 800,000 tickets,” Ms Compagnone said.

“During our busiest hour of ticket sales tomorrow, over 500 tickets will be purchased each minute so we encourage players to get their tickets early.”

WA players have until 6pm tomorrow to get their tickets from Lotterywest retailers in-store, through Lotterywest Play Online or via the app.

When you play with Lotterywest all of WA wins! A Superdraw ticket will help contribute to the $4 million Lotterywest is expected to raise for the WA community following tomorrow night’s draw.
