Relief for Northam multi-millionaire, WA welcomes two more Lotto winners

A Northam resident has come forward to claim the final and third $2 million prize from Western Australia in a Superdraw held over two weeks ago.

The winner said the multi-million dollar prize was set to provide ‘relief’ after receiving Government income support.

“I’d just become debt free.  Now the little things that mean a lot won’t be out of reach,” the Northam winner said.

The long time public servant and passionate hobbyist was confident the win wasn’t going to change everyday country life.

“It just changes the balance between what I need and what I want,” they added.

“I recently thought about buying a car and was going to get a second hand one, but now I can skip that hassle and get a new one. Maybe get a caravan too!”

“I’ll also look into doing some renovations to my small property, including extending my workshop, as well as donating to charities that I already support.”

“I’ve got a horse, chooks and a dog. The dog might get a new collar but they don’t seem to care about the prize too much, they just want to be fed!”

The winner was only prompted to check their winning ticket after being contacted by Lotterywest.

“Thanks to being registered as a Lotterywest member, my misplaced ticket was able to be verified,” the winner said.

Meanwhile WA’s Lotto luck continued over the weekend following two Division One winners in Saturday night’s Lotto draw.

The winning tickets, which each hold a $672,883 prize, were sold at:

• Media Lottery Centre & News in Cannington
• Market City Lotteries & News in Canning Vale

Lotterywest spokesperson Pina Compagnone said only two weeks into the new financial year, our State had produced three Division One wins.

“This is certainly set to heighten the buzz around this week’s whopping jackpots which will see a combined $60 million on offer,” she said.

Tomorrow night’s OZ Lotto draw has jackpotted to $30 million while Thursday’s Powerball has also reached $30 million.

Tickets are available by visiting Lotterywest in-store, online or through the app by 6pm jackpot day.
