Western Australia has ended the year with four Division 1 Lotto winners in tonight’s New Year’s Eve $31 million Megadraw.
WA’s winning tickets, each worth $1,347,826, were sold at the following stores:
• Doric Street Newsagency in Scarborough
• Gateways News and Lottery Centre in Success
• Here’s Luck Lottery Centre in Cloverdale
• West Perth Newsagency (10 share syndicate)
The State’s four winners shared in the $31 million Division 1 prize pool with 19 others from around the nation.
Lotterywest spokesperson Pina Compagnone said it was a great result to see WA share in the multi-million dollar prize pool as there had been strong support from local players for the Megadraw.
“Tonight’s winners brings our State’s Division 1 and 1st Prize winners tally to 91 for 2016 and these players have shared in $145 million. Whether our Megadraw winners realise they have struck Lotto luck yet, I’m sure their prize will provide them with a great start to the New Year,” she said.
Over 331,000 other WA players won a prize in tonight’s Megadraw, including 52 people set to pocket a Division 2 prize worth $10,160.
Tonight’s winners are not the only ones to benefit from the Megadraw; with players helping Lotterywest to raise an estimated $5.5 million to support the WA community.
Tonight’s winning Saturday Lotto Megadraw numbers were 11, 18, 40, 16, 4 and 31. The supplementary numbers were 17 and 38.
Powerball powers to $55 million jackpot
Excitement is set to continue across WA next week with a $55 million Powerball jackpot up for grabs on Thursday night.
The jackpot is the result of no-one across the nation being able to match the game’s winning numbers plus the Powerball for the past six weeks.
Tickets for the $55 million Powerball jackpot are available until 6pm on Thursday in-store, through Play Online or the Lotterywest App.
