Nedlands delivers Superdraw success

Lotterywest is yet to reveal Western Australia’s latest Division One Lotto winner who picked up a $1.4 million prize in the weekend’s Superdraw.

The unclaimed ticket is amongst 14 winners nation-wide to share in the $20 million prize pool, and the WA winning ticket was purchased from Rogers Newsagency in Nedlands.

Owners of the Nedlands store, Candy Li and Renmin Zhang, said they’ve been eagerly waiting to sell a big winner.

“We’ve owned the store for the last three years but this business has been around for about 50 years, and we believe this is the first Division One winning ticket ever sold here,” Mr Zhang said.

“There have been a lot of happy faces and the win is all we are talking about at the moment,” he added.

Over 170,000 other WA players picked up a prize in the weekend’s Saturday Lotto Superdraw, including 17 Division Two winners who each collected just over $10,000.

Thanks to support from local players buying Lotterywest tickets in the Superdraw more than $4 million was also raised to support the WA community.

WA’s tally of Division One Lotto winners for the year has reached 28.

There’ are two big chances to win this week when a combined $35 million worth of jackpots is offered.

Tomorrow night OZ Lotto will offer a $15 million jackpot and then Powerball powers to a $20 million jackpot on Thursday.

Tickets are available until 6pm jackpot day from Lotterywest in-store, online or through the app.
