Myaree magic: Southern suburbs deliver $1.3 million Lotto win

Myaree Newsextra Newsagency has delivered one lucky punter more than $1.3 million in Lotto prize money following Saturday night’s draw.

The winning ticket marks the 31st Division 1 windfall for Western Australia so far this year with players sharing in over $70 million in prizes.

Business owner Wayne Martinovich said the store was no stranger to Lotto luck having produced Division 1 wins every year across the last five years.

“Producing Myaree millionaires is a feeling that doesn’t grow old,” Mr Martinovich said.

“We were so excited to learn we’d had another win and certainly, the store is buzzing with customers frantically checking their tickets,” he added.

With tomorrow’s OZ Lotto draw carrying a $30 million jackpot, Mr Martinovich said he hoped the area’s run of luck would continue.

“I might even have to pick myself up a ticket,” Mr Martinovich laughed.

“Let’s hope lady luck is here to stay,” he added.

Lotterywest spokeswoman Chloe Lawler said the area’s good fortune didn’t stop at Lotto prize money with one third of every dollar spent on Lotterywest products returned to the community.

“In Myaree specifically we’ve been able to support the delivery of disability services to the tune of a quarter of a million dollars,” Ms Lawler said.

“With tomorrow’s $30 million jackpot expected to generate over $1 million for the community, when you play with Lotterywest you really do help support the things that make WA great,” she added.

Tickets for tomorrow night’s jackpot are available until 6pm in-store, through Play Online or by downloading the Lotterywest app.
