Lotterywest celebrates 17th Div 1 win for 2017

Almost three months into the year and Western Australia is celebrating its 17th Division 1 Lotto winner.

The latest win sold through Lotterywest Play Online on Saturday night’s Super66 game and is worth $101,199.

Lotterywest spokesperson Pina Compagnone said Lotterywest hopes the State’s run of winners was a sign of more good things to come ahead of this Saturday’s $21 million Superdraw.

“We’re averaging almost two Division 1 wins a week,” Ms Compagnone said.

“This has included nine millionaires and four multi-millionaires including an unemployed Lathlain woman who scooped $15 million last month,” she said.

Meanwhile, a Good Samaritan from the City of Bayswater has come forward to claim last weekend’s $1.4 million Saturday Lotto prize.

The woman, aged in her 70s, said she while she was past retirement age she continued to volunteer in the local community.

“I’ll be donating the bulk of the money to charity. It’s a good feeling being able to help others,” the woman said.

The woman said she had been playing a Slikpik 12 ticket each Saturday for almost 20 years.

“I’ve had some good wins – a few hundred dollars here and there,” she said.

“It sounds cliché but you really do have to be in it to win it,” she added.

The winning ticket was sold at Morley Millions.
