Geraldton delivers a Lotto multi-millionaire!

Two Australian Lotto players became multi-millionaires following the weekend’s Saturday Lotto draw.

One of these lucky Division 1 Lotto winners was a Western Australian player with the other from New South Wales. Both tickets hold prizes worth $2,080,763.

WA’s winning ticket was sold by Jungles News and Lotto in Geraldton and marks the third Division 1 Lotto ticket produced by the store since taking ownership 23 years ago.

“This win is long overdue and it’s very exciting for everyone in Geraldton. I feel like I’ve won the prize myself I’m so happy!” said Kody Prater who works at Jungles News and Lotto in Geraldton.

“We’ve been sharing the great news far and wide and I think we’re all hoping it might be a local Geraldton winner. We’ve had terrific reactions from everyone when we tell them the news.”

“I think Lotto luck has returned to us for the New Year and we really hope it continues. There’s nothing like turning someone into a big winner!”

Lotterywest is waiting to hear from WA’s newest Division 1 Lotto winner.

Not only did WA take out a Division 1 prize, over 86,000 other local players took home a Saturday Lotto prize on the weekend, including seven players who pocketed a $12,269 Division 2 prize.

WA has now celebrated three Division 1 Lotto winners since the beginning of 2017.

When you play with Lotterywest, all of WA wins with money raised from the purchase of tickets going to support the WA community.

Last year, the City of Greater Geraldton received a Lotterywest grant of $176,709 for the development of a youth centre in Mullewa to bring young people and their families together.
