Biggest jackpot for the year offered tonight!

Australia’s biggest jackpot for the year will go on offer tonight with OZ Lotto’s $40 million jackpot.

The Division 1 prize pool is the result of no one across the nation being able to match the game’s seven winning numbers for the last six weeks.

Lotterywest spokesperson Pina Compagnone said it was expected thousands of local players would get behind tonight’s jackpot, with more than 350,000 tickets estimated to be sold in WA.

“Our busiest hour will see about 400 tickets churning out of Lotterywest terminals each minute, so we encourage players to get their tickets early,” Ms Compagnone said.

Lotterywest retailers have been reporting a busy start to the day, including owner of Mundaring Lottery Centre and News Phil Murgatroyd.

The outlet struck Lotto luck just three nights ago after selling a $1.1 million Division 1 winning ticket in the weekend’s Saturday Lotto Superdraw. The ticket, along with another Division 1 winner sold at Beckenham Newsagency, remain unclaimed.

“The win has certainly created a lot of chatter and positive vibes. We had a feeling something was ‘cooking’ and that a win was not too far away. It could be a sign of more good things to come tonight,” Phil said.

Another $30 million on Thursday

Excitement doesn’t end tonight with jackpots galore this week and a $30 million Powerball jackpot on Thursday.

WA players have until 6pm on the day of each jackpot to purchase their tickets from Lotterywest retailers’ in-store, through Play Online or by downloading the Lotterywest App.

A ticket in the jackpots will not only give players a chance to win big, it will also contribute to raising funds for the WA community. Both jackpots are estimated to raise a combined $5.5 million.
