$40 million OZ Lotto jackpot tonight!

There’s only hours left until Australia’s equal largest OZ Lotto jackpot for the year of $40 million goes up for grabs.

No-one across the nation has been able to match the game’s seven winning numbers for the past six weeks, resulting in the multi-million dollar Division 1 prize offer.

This is the third time this year that OZ Lotto has reached a jackpot of $40 million – the previous occasions were in March and May.

March saw OZ Lotto luck delivered here in WA after the entire $40 million jackpot prize was taken home by a South West family who had been struggling financially.

Owner of Harvey Newsagency Trish Forward, who sold the winning ticket, said the big win had been great for the local community who were delighted the prize had been won by a family who really deserved it.

“We’ve also had lots of new customers visit us in the hope of picking up on some of the Lotto luck,” she said.

WA players have until 6pm to purchase tickets in tonight’s $40 million OZ Lotto jackpot in-store, through Lotterywest Play Online, or via the Lotterywest App.

Lotterywest spokesperson Pina Compagnone said thousands of local players were expected to get behind tonight’s jackpot.

“Our busiest hour later this afternoon will see about 400 tickets being purchased each minute, so we encourage players to get their tickets as early as they can,” she said.

When you play Lotterywest Games, the money stays in WA. Over the six week jackpot roll alone, more than $8 million has been raised to support the WA community.

Meanwhile, Lotterywest is still waiting to hear from WA’s two Division 1 Lotto winners from the weekend’s Saturday Lotto draw.

Both players are each set to collect a $2.1 million prize. The winning tickets were sold at Melville Newspower in Bicton and Gateways News and Lottery Centre in Success.
