Religious Organisation or Church Groups

Lotterywest may support the broad based community welfare services of a religious organisation or church. We may also assist with the conservation of church buildings for heritage purposes.

We do not generally support grants to groups for purposes that promote a particular religious or secular philosophy or values system. Our support to such groups focuses on welfare activities provided to the community.

To be considered for a grant the service must:

• Be promoted to the wider community and have broad community support (indicated by external referees)
• Be appropriately structured, supported, funded and staffed and
• Be clearly distinguished from the Ministry and religious work of the organisation or church.
