Quotes

Part of our application process requires applicants to obtain two quotes for any item that costs more than $3,000 which they want to purchase with a Lotterywest grant.  We recognise that this can sometimes be more difficult for organisations in regional locations.

This requirement may be waived if obtaining two quotes proves difficult or may have post purchase implications. The types of special circumstances we would consider include:

• There is only one computer supplier or car dealership in a town. Your organisation wants to use it to ensure that it has access to after sales service.
• A local community wants to support regional suppliers. This is in keeping with the principles of the Regional Purchasing Discretion within the Government's Buy Local Policy.

As for all grants, we will look at any quote provided to ensure it represents value for money.

Your request should provide an explanation of why only one quote for the item is possible and this explanation will be considered during assessment.
