Regional audience travel
People living in small regional towns or remote areas are often required to travel long distances to attend a performing arts event. A Lotterywest grant can help with getting there.
Application FormWhen to apply
Applications can be made at any time, although applications need to be made at least four months before you require a decision from Lotterywest. This will allow time for a result from us, and time for you to organise travel arrangements. Please talk to us before applying if you need a grant sooner.
Who can apply?
These grants are available to not-for-profit organisations and local government authorities.
What can we support?
We support organisations that help people from rural or remote communities travel to regional centres for a performing arts program that they would otherwise not be able to access.
Our grants subsidise the cost of travel for groups of people (at least 10 and preferably more) living a significant distance (at least 75km) from the relevant regional venue.
Applications should be for more than $1,000. Our grants do not provide for travel to attend competitions, accommodation, food or ticket costs.
Most importantly, we want to understand what your needs and ideas are. Please talk to us.
What we look for:
- Date, location, time and name of the performance
- How you identified that the group cannot access performing arts events without Lotterywest support
- How you determined the number of people that will be travelling (minimum and maximum)
- Details of the travel arrangements
- How you will communicate with all involved (including people who will be travelling)
- How have you determined the level of subsidy sought?
Documents we need:
- A completed Lotterywest Grant Application Form
- Your latest Annual Report if you have one, or AGM minutes if you don’t and the most recent audited financial statements
- A copy of your Constitution
- Two written quotes for items over $3,000; a written estimate, advertised price, or one written quote or items under $3,000 (low value, miscellaneous items can be grouped together to $1,000)
