Strengthening Community Service Delivery grants have been developed to add value to the various not-for-profit community services available to the Western Australian Community. They recognise the critical role played by community services in helping to improve the quality of life for our citizens.
Priority for these grants is given to:
- Organisations that provide support to disadvantaged people or groups
- Proposals that will provide a broad community benefit
Youth Services
Lotterywest can support not-for-profit organisations, local government authorities and Youth organisations with grants for a range of proposals to enhance the quality-of-life for young people in the community.
Strengthening Youth Services
Lotterywest is able to support the strengthening of Youth community service organisations through grants towards items such as furniture, general and office equipment, information technology, service accommodation and vehicles, facilities for young people and for time-limited service projects. Youth Organisation Block Grants
(Scouts, Guides, PCYC’s, Cadets)
Lotterywest provides annual grants to youth organisations such as Scouts, Guides, Cadets and Police and Citizen’s Youth Centres (PCYC’s) towards the cost of minor capital works or equipment. The head offices of these organisations make a block grant application to Lotterywest on behalf of its member organisations. Any grant request outside the block grant allocation needs to be made through the Head Office/Coordinating Body and will be considered on its merit.
Before submitting any request outside the block allocation, please Contact Us to discuss your project with a member of the Lotterywest grants team.

Other Grants to Support Young PeopleGordon Reid Youth Projects
Lotterywest support time-limited community development projects that provide opportunities for young people to maximise their development and participation in the community.
Go to Gordon Reid Youth Projects for more information and application requirements for these types of grants.
Skateboard Parks
Lotterywest can support the development of skateboard parks, primarily in rural and regional areas, in recognition that there are fewer community facilities in country areas. Skate parks are recognised for their value in increasing participation in community life, particularly for young people. The application needs to be made by the relevant Local Government Authority (LGA).
Proposals from metropolitan LGA’s will be considered should the skate park facility be seen as a regional facility. For example, that the facility will service a much broader community than just one suburb.
Go to Skateboard Parks for more information and application requirements for these types of grants.
Other Grant Opportunities
Youth organisations are able to apply for grants in all other Lotterywest grant areas. Go to Grant Opportunities for information about other Lotterywest grants.
