Broad Grant Types

Vehicle grants are available to help community groups with the cost of purchasing a vehicle to help undertake their service delivery to clients.

Priority is given to organisations in rural and remote areas, and/or where a lack of alternative options is available. We encourage organisations to include the cost of any vehicle modifications and/or additional accessories as part of the total cost of the vehicle to ensure its suitability for the intended use.

Grants will generally not be made towards:

• Expansion or replacement of large vehicle fleets unless expansion is tied to new service delivery; 
• Vehicles primarily used for personal staff use and/or that form part of a salary packaging arrangement; and
• Operating and maintenance costs.

Lotterywest will support a grant toward a replacement vehicle in exceptional circumstances, where organisations are able to demonstrate why they have not been able to make adequate provision for the full cost of replacement.
