Cheque presentations

Canning Stock Route

Sometimes the public announcement of your grant will be made by a Member of Parliament (MP), in which case there is the potential for increased publicity.  We will advise you if this opportunity presents.

Having a MP announce your grant and present a symbolic cheque is a way of widening both involvement and recognition. It may also attract media coverage about your organisation.

Who attends a presentation?
A grant announcement and cheque presentation can be a simple affair, such as exchanging a handshake and photograph between your organisation and the MP at the MP’s office.  Or it may be a celebration and unveiling of your project with everyone involved attending.

Where an event is organised in association with the MP announcing the grant, we like to attend if we can.  We ask therefore that you notify us of the cheque presentation and ask to be invited alongside others with a close interest in the outcome.

Who does what?
There are various roles played by:

The grant recipient
The Member of Parliament
