Why do some games jackpot?

For some games, if there is no Division 1 winner for a draw the provisional prize pool is rolled over to the next game, increasing the jackpot.

What is the difference between the games?

In Saturday Lotto, Monday and Wednesday Lotto you need the all six Winning Numbers to win Division 1 and in OZ Lotto you need all seven Winning Numbers to win Division 1

Powerball is played by drawing six balls from the first barrel of 40 and one ball from a second barrel of 20. The number drawn from the second barrel is the Powerball number and all seven numbers together are the Winning Numbers.

Set for Life is an exciting new daily game with draws every day of the week. When you win 1st Prize, instead of a single lump-sum payout, you get an ongoing prize of $20,000 a month for 20 years and it’s guaranteed (if won) for up to four winners. A Set for Life entry lasts for seven consecutive draws and is played by drawing ten numbers from 37. The first eight numbers drawn are the Winning Numbers and the last two drawn are the Bonus Numbers.

The prize amounts, minimum games, and cost of entry are different for each game. For more information view our games information section.

What happens if I go on holiday? Can I still be in the draw each week?

If you have a set of lucky numbers and you don't want to miss a draw you have the option to purchase tickets for most of our games between two to ten weeks in advance. More information is available in our games information section where you can find the detailed brochure for the game you’re interested in. You can also play multiweek and advance play entries using our Play Online service.

What is a System entry?

A System entry is a quick and easy way to increase the number of games or SETS you play in a draw. The more games or SETS you play in a draw, the better your chances of winning. Systems can be played by selecting your own numbers on a playslip, as a Slikpik, or as a Set for Life QuickSET. For more information view our games information section and read the detailed brochure for the game you’re interested in.

How do I use the Lotterywest ticket checker correctly?

  • Ensure the barcode on the ticket is clearly sitting under the scanner.
  • Wait for the ‘beep’ before taking the ticket away.
  • It may take a few seconds to process the ticket, so wait until you see a message appear on the ticket checker display.
  • If you’re a winner, the ticket checker will also give you an option to view the prize amount won by pressing the ‘Yes’ or ‘No’ button. Ensure you have completed this process before checking your next ticket or walking away.
  • If you are checking a large number of tickets, carefully check each ticket one by one and try to keep the ones you have checked separate. This will help to avoid any confusion.

You can have complete confidence in the accuracy of Lotterywest ticket checkers in giving you exactly the same information as that of the retailer's terminal.

If you need further assistance using the ticket checker, can ask your Lotterywest retailer or contact the Lotterywest Customer Services team on 08 9340 5200.
