Multi-million dollar Superdraw surprise for WA Lotto player
One Western Australian Lotto player is set to pocket a $2.5 million Division One surprise from the weekend's $20 million Saturday Superdraw.
The winning ticket, sold at Kingsway City Newsagency in Madeley, was one of eight Division One winning tickets nationwide in the draw.
When Lotterywest spoke to Kingsway City Newsagency owner John Halligan, said he was thrilled to have sold his second Division One winning ticket in the last six months.
"It's great news for Kingsway Shopping Centre, we've had the golden touch for lotto recently and we hope it continues," he said.
53 Western Australians have so far added their name to the 2009 Division One winners tally, totalling more than $80 million won in prizes.
32 cents in every dollar spent on Lottery games in WA is directed back to WA health, sports, arts and a large number of community events including support for Trek the Trail, an event in the Perth hills this Sunday 20 September. www.trekthetrail.com.au
